In our opinion, the Appenzeller HUUS is a particularly outstanding hotel. We share this assessment with many renowned guests and experts in first-class Swiss cuisine, gastronomy, hospitality, and Swiss traditions. The hotel is closely linked to Hotel Bären in Gonten, which is considered the origin of the resort and was built as early as 1602.
This historic building is the oldest in Gonten and symbolizes tradition. Today, the Appenzeller HUUS presents itself as a resort consisting of the historic core, the modern Hotel HUUS Löwen, and the HUUS Quell, which will open in 2025. All buildings were constructed using traditional Appenzell timber frame construction. A stay there offers a valuable experience, and it is inspiring to observe the development and professionalism with which work is carried out here, always coupled with great attention to detail.
We are especially pleased that the expertise of Landsberg First Class Aesthetic has now also found its way into the spa area.
