With great pleasure, we would like to announce that the scientific paper on the EMCV Booster™ by tHermoCEUTICAL™, titled “Mitochondrial Functional Modulation for Increasing Skin Elasticity,” has been accepted by the reviewing committee of IMCAS. This groundbreaking work was authored by Prof. Dr. Uwe Paasch from the University Dermatology Clinic Leipzig. The scientific presentation has been given the green light!
The objectives and research questions addressed in this paper are highly interesting. We already know that skin senescence serves as an indicator for internal organs due to various external and internal factors. Among these factors is oxidative stress, which is associated with mitochondrial dysfunction.
All of these factors can contribute to an increase in ECM levels, the degradation of proteins like MMPs, and a reduction in collagen synthesis. MMPs also play a role in the degradation of the basement membrane, which is one of the important visible changes in skin elasticity.
You can learn more about the full paper and the scientific findings at IMCAS 2024 in Paris, at Palais des Congrès – Porte Maillot. The presentation will take place on February 2, 2024, at 9:38 AM in Room 143. Please note that seating capacity is limited and will be allocated on a “first come, first serve” basis. We recommend arriving early to secure your spot.
